Privacy

derps is a trading app for Sui perpetuals. This page says what we collect, why, and who else sees it. It is written to be read, not to cover us.

What we collect

• Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name and profile picture. We store your name and picture so your profile looks like you, and a one-way hash of your Google account id. Your email is not stored.
• Your derps address. Signing in creates a Sui address that belongs to you. We store it, along with your username, profile details and who you follow.
• Your trades. Trades happen on the Sui blockchain and are public by nature. We index them so your history, the live feed and your profile work.
• Basic operational records. Errors, transaction attempts and alerts, so we can keep the app working.

What we never have

• Your keys. The key that signs your transactions is created in your browser and stays there. We cannot move your money.
• Your funds. Balances live in your own account on Aftermath, on-chain. derps is not a custodian.
• Card or bank details. If you buy crypto with a card, that happens with the payment provider directly. We never see the card.

Who else is involved

• Shinami — creates and secures your sign-in wallet, and pays network fees on your behalf.
• Aftermath Finance — the exchange your trades are placed on.
• Coinbase — if you buy crypto with a card or bank, they handle the payment and the identity checks it needs.
• Cloudflare — hosting and the database this app runs on.
• X (Twitter) — only if you choose to connect it, to find friends who also use derps. We store your X username and who you follow there; we never post anything.

We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications, your browser gives us a delivery address for your device. Alerts carry no content through Apple or Google: your device fetches the message from derps.

Your choices

• Change or remove your name, picture, banner and username any time in Settings.
• Disconnect X any time; that deletes the follow data we pulled from it.
• Turn notifications off per type, or off entirely.
• Ask us to delete your account data. On-chain trades cannot be deleted by anyone, including us.
